New Instruments to Debut this Summer!

The amazing Youth Choir drumline will sport two new quad sets this summer, thanks to the Columbus Symphony grant. New snares, bass drums and harnesses were purchased for the Choir in 2001 (and first used in 2002) through the efforts of the Youth Choir's Advisory Board and the leadership of Ed and Sue Litman (parents of Todd '95-'97 and Kris '97-'99). Quads were not purchased at that time, and the Choir has continued to borrow those drums.

A new drum set for concerts will also make its debut this summer through the generosity of many gifts given to the Youth Choir in memory of Evelyn G. Snyder, mother of Mr. Snyder. The current set was purchased about 1995/96.

Matt Hayes, staff member and staff percussionist since 2002, has selected and ordered the instruments.
