| Who: |
Any student currently in grades 9-12 may apply, with the
consent of their parent/guardian and the recommendation and evaluation
of their choir director.
|
| What: |
Following several days of rigorous rehearsals, the
AOSFYC launches a performance schedule that includes 6 - 8 concerts each
day at the Ohio State Fair.
|
| When: |
17 days -- end of July through mid August. Choir
members are housed in the Rhodes Center at the Ohio Expo Center in
Columbus, under capable and experienced supervision. Balanced
meals are provided in the Rhodes Center cafeteria at no charge to choir
members.
|
| Commitment: |
Choir Members are expected to be participate throughout
the all 17 days of the AOSFYC rehearsal and concert period.
|
| Cost: |
Other than personal spending money, the only costs are
for the expense of the music package (approximately $60), two or three
summer uniforms (approximately $35 each), and a choir jacket
(approximately $20).
|
| Music: |
A wide variety of music will be rehearsed, memorized and
performed. |
